We are happy to provide an in-person 1/2 hour complimentary consultation to discuss our services, tools, and process. An additional 1/2 hour ($100) can be added to conduct a transcript review and answer questions specific to the student.

Begin in 8th or 9th Grade

MAKING THE MOST OF HIGH SCHOOL

Option 1:  Hourly Advising
Navigating High School:  Topics include but are not limited to: course selection and 4-year planning, extra-curricular and summer activities, early college discussions, problem-solving

Option 2:  4-year Comprehensive Services
We provide start-to-finish college advising beginning freshmen year. In addition to the topics included in Hourly Advising, we include any or all of the following: family intake interview, standardized test advising, development of the college list, athletic/audition/portfolio advisement, assistance with college application, essays, recommendations, interviews, planning college visits, and final college decision making.
(Unlimited hours for up to 10 college applications senior year. Additional schools will be at the hourly rate)

Includes RCC’s own suite of organizational documents for senior year to keep the myriad of college application requirements and tasks simple, organized and on-target for due dates.

Begin in 10th Grade

Begin in 11th Grade

College Exploration

Option 1:  Building Your List – up to 5 hours

This option can be combined with College Applications and Essays for the Self-Starter (10 hours), offered during the senior year

Advising ultimately focuses on developing the college list, but also can include: questionnaires and/or intake interview of students and their families, transcript and standardized test score review, college criteria for matching students to colleges, creation of a balanced list of good-fit colleges, and how to research colleges, including navigating the college website.

Option 2:  2-Year Comprehensive Services

We provide start-to-finish college advising beginning junior year. In addition to the topics listed under Building Your List, we include as needed, academic planning, standardized test advising, college visit guidance, development of the college list, and athletic/audition/portfolio advice. Senior year includes assistance with college applications, essays, recommendations, interviews, and final college decision-making.

(Unlimited hours for up to 10 college applications senior year. Additional schools will be at the hourly rate.)

Begin in 12th Grade

Applications and Decision Making

Option 1:  Building Your List – up to 5 hours

Advising ultimately focuses on developing the college list but also includes questionnaires and/or interview of students and their families, transcript and standardized test score review, college criteria for matching students to colleges, creation of a balanced list of good-fit colleges, and how to research colleges including navigating the college website.

Option 2:  College Applications and Essays for the Self-Starter – up to 10 hours

This option can be combined with Option 1: Building Your List

For those who already have their college list, this option includes assistance with completing applications, essays, recommendations, interviews, submitting supporting documents, setting up and using college portals, and final college decision-making.

Option 3:  1-year Comprehensive Services

This option includes services included under Option 1 and 2 above.

In addition, we include as needed: academic planning, standardized test advising, college visit guidance, development of the college list, and athletic/audition/portfolio advisement. Senior year also includes assistance with college applications, essays, recommendations, interviews, and final college decision-making.

This package differs from combining packages 1 & 2 above in that it is designed for students who want or need additional time and attention to their college list, essay development, and overall decision-making.

College Transfer Students

Option 1:  Exploring Your Options

This preliminary one-hour session is available prior to signing a contract. This session will include a general consultation to review transfer policies, transcript review, and discussion of sensible options.

Option 2:  Revisiting College Options: 3 hours

This package is for the college student who has already developed a college list. We will structure a task calendar, while reviewing the application components for the Common Application and institutional applications. We will discuss essay topics, along with essay review and editing for up to 3 colleges.

Option 3: Revisiting College Options: 5 hours

This package is for the college student who would like input into developing a college list. We will structure a task calendar, while reviewing the application components for the Common Application and institutional applications. We will discuss essay topics, along with essay review and editing for up to 6 colleges. Additional hours available
